The River House venture was project to embrace the beauty of the riverside setting. This unique dwelling features two distinct gable structures interconnected by a transparent entrance. The primary wing and its accompanying deck are oriented towards the river, on stilts to avoid potential floods. The second wing, set further back, has a secluded courtyard and garden. 

Landscape elements are seamlessly integrated into the house. The water’s presence, by a rill between the two gable structures and the framing the picturesque views.  

The exterior materials were carefully selected to harmonise with the environment. Cedar cladding, river stone gabion baskets, and black steel roofing create a striking contrast with the natural cedar surroundings.  

The end result is a residence tailored to the site’s unique conditions, preserving and celebrating the distinctive allure of its riverside locale.
